Initial Review

Workflow: Initial Review
Are Submitted PDFs Complete and Compliant?
Once an applicant submits their drawings for review, your first task is to check them to ensure they meet your municipality's minimum requirements. To do this, retrieve the drawings from the document management system where the drawings are stored. Then review the drawings to ensure that they meet the minimum requirements. Although requirements for submission will vary between municipalities, some common prerequisites include:
  • Page numbers
  • Page labels
  • Project title name
  • Sheet title
  • Revision
  • Date issued

If the requirements are not met, you will return the drawings to the applicant. Be sure to provide clear notes indicating which requirements were not met. The method you use to communicate with the applicant will depend on the process and procedure established by your municipality.
If the requirements are met, you will proceed to the next phase of the workflow which involves preparing the drawings for review in a Studio Session.
